Series Instructions

Course:
Start in a northerly direction between an offshore orange mark and an RC flag on the Des Moines Marina fishing pier, leaving the green navigation buoy to starboard (see diagram to the right). Leave Duwamish Head Light and Blakely Rock Light to port. Finish in a southerly direction between offshore orange mark and the RC flag on the end of the fishing pier with the green navigation buoy to port.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The green buoy is a limit mark, Do NOT sail between the pier and the green navigation buoy when starting or finishing.

Withdrawals
TTPYC gears its races to the slowest boat on the course. Our goal is for all boats to finish. If you must withdraw please notify the Race Committee via VHF 72 or cell phone (206) 999-5115 and leave a message.

Protests
Protests must be in writing and given to the race committee or e-mailed to tdavisconst@hotmail.com or mailed to TTPYC and post marked no later than 48 hours after the last yacht finishes. Protests will be heard on the Thursday following the race at 7:00 PM. Location to be announced.

Awards:
Awards will be presented for first, second, and third in each class. The Azimuth Circle Award (TTPYC perpetual trophy for the Duwamish Head Race) will be engraved with the name of the overall Speed Potential Class winning yacht.

Registration and Entry Fee:
Registration and entry fee must be received by mail or made in person no later than 2100 on Friday, January 8, 2010 at the temporary registration office located in the guest moorage area in the Des Moines Marina. Late entry may be made in person at the breakfast the morning of the race from 0700 to 0900.
Entry fee is $30, late entry $35. entry form

• A greeting party will help Friday arrivals find moorage for their boats in guest moorage at the north end of the marina. Friday night moorage will be free.
• Friday sign in will be open at the marina office until 9:00 PM.
• Free hot drinks, hot chili and snacks at check-in.

• 0700-0900 Breakfast prepared by the Des Moines YC First Mates located at the south end of the marina. Price $8.00. T-Shirts will be on sale.
• 0700-0830 Late registration at the breakfast.
• 0925 Cruising Class Warning.
• 0955 A Class Warning.
• 1700 (approx.) Post race party at Anthony’s with No Host Bar while we wait for results.

Moorage:
TTPYC has made arrangements for free moorage Friday night. A landing committee will assist you upon arrival.
